Why do we pray ?

I m back into blogging after a long long time ..

And this time its a rather sensitive topic... So... I m putting a disclaimer at the beginning itself.

No offense intended towards religious/spiritual sentiments. 

I m just sharing my views and doesn't mean that I m imposing it. 

Every one have the freedom to believe what ever they like to. 

I am respecting that Freedom and every one else also should

My personal feeling is that , Its very convenient for every one to blame God and not to do their work. You just need to pray to escape even if you do a big crime.

Lets take the following facts and try to do some logical reasoning and see what are the possibilities..
First of all.. let me tell you... I m neither a theist nor an atheist.

Facts 

1) Thousands of innocent people including kids and women get killed in Tsunami.
2) Thousands of innocent people including kids and women get killed in Religious extremist bombing.
3) 3 months old innocent baby with Leukemia fights for life..
Etc....

And as far as with my very little knowledge & research what I found out are the following possibilities...
Lets call them as postulates as nothing required any proof..
1) There is no God
2) There is a very powerful God and we are his sons and daughters. But he is least bothered about them.
3) There is a very powerful God and he is playing a game with humans as players.
4) There is a very powerful God and there is an after death life for every one. And the current life is an evaluation for this after life.
5) There is a very powerful God and every one has reincarnations. And what you get in current life is the outcome of what you did in previous life.
6) There is a loving God and we are his sons and daughters. But he is not powerful enough to help them.
7) Known is a drop and unknown is an ocean. There is a GOD. No questions should be asked

Postulate (1) There is no GOD.

Reason : This should be the one all atheists love. No one can prove the existence of GOD only with the help of 5 senses of human. When you talk about GOD, you need to always use the words, personal experience, Belief, 6th sense, etc which can't be explained through the 5 senses which are common to every one. And this explains why the FACTS mentioned above still occurring.

Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as there is no one to receive.

Postulate (2) There is a Powerful GOD and we are his sons and daughters. But he is least bothered about them.

Reason : If the GOD exists and he is very powerful, why can't he just solve every one's problems???

As he is very powerful, He just need a nano second or less to find out a solution which fits for every one.

I heard always people telling that God loves you better than your mother. And if that's true , he will definitely act and eradicate all the problems. I remember of the tsunami incident and people who came to pray in Velankanni church also got washed out. People might argue that , its a punishment for them. What crap ???

If GOD is that powerful why he needs to punish his sons ? Why can't he just change their mind and bring them to the right way ? The concept of Punishment and things like that are applicable only in a human life why because no one have control on other's mind. But that should not be the case with GOD, He is damn powerful. He can do any thing. I remember reading BIBLE , mentioning that GOD made pharaoh's mind harder. So, why can't he changes every one's mind and solve whole the issues in a fraction of second. Answer could be that .. he doesn't care... and this explains the FACTS.
Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as the receiver doesn't care.

Postulate (3) There is a very powerful God and he is playing a game with humans as players.

Reason : I remember the movie Gladiator in which the ROMA Emperors watching a game in which 2 teams are killing each other to survive(of-course, there is no rules). So... may be GOD also playing a game in which we are all players trying to survive here by doing what ever we can. Also I remember in the movie some time the emperor sends Lions ,etc. to the play field to make the game more interesting. May be that's what GOD also does with Tsunamis etc. Players need to pray for this emperor's kindness.

If he feels kind he might not send the lions. But still the death is eminent. it will happen sometimes. Only thing you can do is to just extend the time. Thats what we are doing in the current world. But if this is the case, the statement "god loves you better than your mother" does not hold good. It should be changed as "GOD is a cruel emperor and we need to pray for his kindness" and this very well explains the FACTS.
Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as its a game. Ah.. he might not send the lions if you pray.

Postulate (4) There is a very powerful God and there is an after death life for every one. And the current life is an evaluation for this after life.
Reason : In this case all humans are given a chance to do good things in the current life and based on the performance in the current life the things in the next life determined. If you are performing well you will go to heaven otherwise hell. But the funny thing here is that no every one given the same evaluation time.Some dies just after the birth some after living 100 years. So, not sure how the evaluation is even in these. A baby couldn't have done any sins in his small life span. But the oldie in 100 would have done many. May be the baby got a double promotion. Anyways... the fare rule of an examination is that you should not be getting any  outside help. Which means things will just go on.. God is not going to intervene. And this explains the FACTS.
Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as it is an examination. There wont be any outside help.

Postulate (5) There is a very powerful God and every one has reincarnations. And what you get in current life is the outcome of what you did in previous life

Reason : In this case all humans/creatures were given a chance to do good things in their previous incarnation and based on the performance in that , the current incarnation is determined. If you had performed well in the previous life, you should have got a good life now. But the funny thing is that you have no clue to know what your previous incarnation was or future will. And again you can't change the past and so you have no opportunity to correct things here for this life. But you would get an opportunity for the next incarnation if you do good things now. But in any case... the fare rule of such a mechanism  is that you should not be getting any outside help. Because if god helps selectively you alone in between, it will be unfair to others. As god considered to be an equal opportunity employer, he should not be giving any favoritism for selected people. Which means things will just go on.. God is not going to intervene. And this explains the FACTS.
Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as God never gonna intervene. There wont be any outside help.

Postulate (6) There is a loving God and we are his sons and daughters. But he is not powerful enough to help them.

Reason : He might not have power to change human will/mind and he is helpless to solve his son's problems.

He just can give guidelines to escape from Satan or some one who is powerful than him just like a preacher.

This is pretty convenient to believe in the present situation of the world. It explains the FACTS.

 Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useless as the God doesn't have power to help you.

Postulate (7) Known is a drop and unknown is an ocean. There is a GOD. No questions should be asked

Reason : This would be the one all theists love. Because they don't want to get any tricky questions as they always want to be non-thinking slaves and waits for outside help.
I remember a funny scene from a Malayalam movie. One guy thought of cheating others for fun and says every one that "Biriyani/Food" is served for free in one place.And then people started running for it. After seeing so many people running for it, he also started getting doubts... and finally he also started running.. his logic was that If actually Biriyani/food is serving there for free ??? (The famous Malayalam dialogue is "Ini enganum biriyani kodukkunnundengilo ?")
 Why do we Pray ?  Pretty useful. "Ini enganum biriyani kodukkunnundengilo ?" :-)

In conjunction with this there are many different unknown theories which we can believe or not.
Some scholars like Zacharia Sithin (Author of Earth chronicles) & Erich von Daniken (Author of Chariots of the Gods) tells that all the so called gods we worship are some aliens of other planets and they are very advanced in technology came in earth for mining gold and created the primitive man by gene manipulation etc. And the primitive men believed that their creators are gods and started worshiping and same is continuing now. But they finished their business and gone back and no prayers will be answered.

Many many more such theories for which scholars give some scientific explanations as well.
But what ever the case.. the qn. echoes here is that " Why do we pray ? "

Any ways, If we consider, the above postulates 1,2,4,5,6  there is no point of doing prayers, goin church etc... from a solution point of view. May be it gives some relaxation or strength to you to survive , that holds good.

And in the 3rd case, you need to pray, but you can just imagine how kind he would be. There are people who would rather opt to gain strength themselves rather than waiting for the emperor to be kind. ( remember his kindness is only to not send lions .. ha ha ha)
And in the theist loved 7th postulate, you can continue to pray. "Ini enganum biriyani kodukkunnundengilo ?"

Anyways, people are different, and they act, think differently.

Thier will, thier way, thier life.. who cares...  :-)

Why am I not blogging nowadays?

I think I haven’t blogged any thing after my marriage..

So.. suddenly that thought came to my mind when I was preparing my website..

Why did I stop blogging ?

Lost interest ? Or busy ?

Couldn’t agree to any of those reasons myself…

But I still remember there was a strong reason behind it…

Got it..

Controversial blogs can land you into trouble.

I remember in 2008 some one arrested in Mumbai for blogging some thing about Chatrapaji Sivaji and affecting religious sentiments…

This is the problem now..

Even if you have rights to show your own views or opinions as per Indian constitution, you can’t tell what ever you want..

So.. we should be more careful now in the cyber arena..

You never know, one of your comment can get you arrested..

Or can get attacked or even killed by some one…

Politics, religion.. all come there to trouble you in such cases.…

Is there a monkey race?

You might have misunderstood by reading the heading.
No, I m not talking about any running competition among monkeys.

Just I was thinking about the racism row which very hot in the channel.
Yes. The cricket controversy.
There were allegations that Harbhajan Sing racially abused the Australian cricketrr Andrew Symonds. And the ICC committee who investigated about the issue punished Harbhajan for a 3 test match ban.

There are so many other rows also.
About the umpiring ..
About the sportsman spirit of the game…
Etc.. etc..

Any way I am not going to comment on any of those things..
But what I was really confused is about the racial comments..
Stipulations say that Sing allegedly called Symonds a “Monkey”.
Oops…
I am lost…
“Monkey” … How it is racial abuse?
Its an abuse.. I agree to that.
But how it is related to any race?
I don’t know whether Symonds father or grand father was a monkey.
Absolutely I have no idea which race symonds belong to.
But, still, I m very much confused.
Is there race related to monkey?

Can a statement kill you?

First of all.. Hearty condolence to the Pakistan opposition leader Ms. Benazir Bhuto.
Last week the newspapers were filled with the Benazir’s assassination news.

Who Killed Benazir ?
How did it happen?
So many questions…

Benazir was killed by Al-Queda.
Benazir was shot dead.
Benazir’s head hit on the car.
So many conclusions…

But… what I was interested about the reasons of the assassination.
There were so many versions..

In one version I read that Benazir was killed by Al – Queda.
A statement by Ms. Benazir had made her to be in the hit list of the Terrorist group.
What was that statement?
“I will seek help from U.S. to eradicate Al-Queda if I am back in power”
I wonder really, Can a statement kill a person..

123 or 321? Are Media doing their duty ?

Back to blogging for an important subject which may decide on the future of Indian central Govt.
Actually me too heard lot many things about the 123 Nuke deal for the last few months even.
What is it all about for a common man..?
I was trying to find out the aspects which may have a direct impact on an Indian voter with respect to the 123 deal.
But I am sorry to accept the truth that I m incapable of doing that so far.
I searched in the internet for getting the details of this controversial deal.
You would be wondering if you do a search in GOOGLE for 123 deal.
There is nothing much useful.
You can only find out some newspaper links which is either talking about the Congress version or the Left version. And luckily BJP does not have a particular stand on this.
They are still with more SERIOUS issues like ‘Ramar Sethu’ which has great repercussions on the religious sentiments.

What are our media doing here?
Are they doing their part?
We have lot many news channels Lot many news papers.
But I couldn’t find out many things out from our formidable media about 123 deal but only with T20 victory of Indian cricket team.

Congress & Sonia are boasting about their idea of progress & development.
We need to wait & see what development this US collaborated Nuclear venture is going to do for our progress & development.
Even with my restricted knowledge I have enough doubts about the cost of energy we are going to make with this proposed Nuclear power venture.
Surprisingly the cost of this project is more than our Indian Budget.
We are going to produce around 13000 MWe of Nuclear Power by 2020 with the cost of investments of 8 Lakh Crores.
I am not a n expert in this number games & can’t comment on this whether its worthy.

On the other hand.. Left parties are against this deal & they are doing enough campaigns on that. They are even ready to impose a mid term poll for this.
Since these left parties are always against any foreign investment especially with USA I don’t feel any thing unusual on their protests.
If it was China or Cuba they would have easily supported the same deal.

So now one side the congress the initiator of the deal & the other side left parties the enemies of the deal. Then how a common man make out which is good or bad?

Are media doing their part here ?

For whom we will cry? Dutt or Maudhani

At least for a few weeks our bolliwood hero Sanjay Dutt is gonna hit the head lines.
Lot many people are pouring their tears all over …
Priya Dutt has lined up with Sonia Gandhi to do some magic against the Judiciary.
Yup. Its gonna be some great weeks ahead with all dramas in the news papers.
Yes Yes nation is crying … A 6 Yr sentence with a five star level treatment in the pune jail to Sanjay would be too much for keeping some kid’s toys like AK56 Rifles.

Any way, I don’t wanna comment on verdict.
People might have different thoughts on this. Let it be.
Yes, I remember the comments from Priyanka Chopra.
“Arey come on, he is not a terrorist. Already he has undergone enough imprisonment & torture for his small mistake. He is a father, he is a husband, he is a nice guy. This 6 yrs sentence is illogical”

Here I m trying to link this Sanjay incident with a similar case in Tamil Nadu.
You would recollect the back page news which you read about Maudhani.
Maudhani is a person who is freed after 9 yrs of imprisonment with lack of evidence on the Coimbatur bomb blast case.
The Kerala Govt. was keeping on trying to free this guy but the TN Govt. was reluctant.
And no help he got from Sonia Gandhi too.

OK. Still I m not gonna comment on the verdict.
I am unsure about the role of Maudhany in Coimbatur bomb blasts.
Anyway, there is no evidence. (Might be manipulated)

But what I am trying to do a simple comparison of the 2 incidents.
One Political party leader is freed because of no evidence after 9 yrs jail sentence.
One Bolliwood hero is sentenced for 6 yrs jail sentence since he found guilty.

So for whom we need to cry ?

Are the terrorists sponsored by the Tax Payer ?

I am writing this with a lot of pain in my heart.
I am totally confused with what is happening now with the well educated young blood.
How a well educated person can kill innocent people?
Whatever is his ideology, whatever is his religion, whatever is his belief.. Can he do a massacre if he is mentally normal?

Nowadays every day we read in the newspaper that some professionally qualified doctors & Engineers are behind the terrorist plot to kill innocent people in Glasgow airport.
Yes, I know this is a very sensitive issue to comment about.
So I am very cautious about the words I used here..

I am not against any religion or any kind of ideology which does well to people.
But I am unable to digest the ideology which asks to kill innocent people.

I recollect the time in my college days when I was very much fell in love with the naxalite ideologies. Even now to some extent I would like to agree with their arguments.
Their ideology is to do good for innocent people not to kill them.
Any way, that is not the thing I am discussing here..

Let’s come back to original problem.
I just have a thought on the well educated terrorists..
How are them becoming like this even though they have got enough education to think sensibly & act sensibly?
Is our education system not efficient?
What is problem with these guys?

Heard that terrorists are not born but circumstances groomed them.
That may be the case in Kashmir like places where the army does the act. (Sorry, even that is not acceptable.)
But people born & brought up in Bangalore like cities … I don’t know.

But the thing I wanted to tell is some thing different.
I just want to think about the well educated terrorist people who were educated in India.
I just want them to think about how they got good education.
I just want them to think about those people who spent for their education.
I just want them to think about those innocent tax payers of India who contributed for their education.
I just want them to understand the pain of those innocent people who contributed a part of their earnings towards the expense of their education.
I just want them to think about what you are giving in return to those innocent people.
Are those innocent tax payers sponsoring terrorism?
Are those innocent tax payers contributing for their death ceremony?

A Voter’s Dilemma !!

When ever I think about voter's rights, I feel shame on it... For the next election for which front I will vote? Whom I will support?
I think all the thinking voters would be in the same dilemma...
No wonder why the voting rate is thrashing down significantly election by election.

The recent developments in the quota issue speeding up these thoughts in my mind also.
“This is the only country in which people are fighting to become backward.” This is not my words. This is what NRN’s comments on quota reservation.
Looks to be absolutely right.

Even after 60 yrs of independence, I do not understand why we are still holding up for this outdates concept of reservation based on quota.
No body will tell now in India that people are suffering only because they are from a backward cast.
That era in which the backward cast is harassed only for that reason is over.

Now, who is the dominant power?
Just think….
Is it the forward cast?
Is it a minority cast?
No, No…
The similarity of dominating community is not falling on any of these..
Then, why we are still holding to the poor concept of cast based reservation.

There is no doubt on the need of reservation.
The criteria have to be changed.
The suffering community in India has only one similarity. Its poverty.
Why can’t we give reservation based on financial status?

Yeah, every body know, what is correct.. , what is wrong..?
But nobody can do any thing..
Nobody wants to do any thing..
Nobody wants to hurt people who already enjoy the reservation.
All parties are trying to please the majority…
Even Judiciary can’t do any thing.

What a voter can do on this?
Is there an option for him/her ?
